THE best pals of a schoolboy having treatment for leukemia shaved their heads to support him.
Lee Jamieson, 11, was diagnosed with the illness in November and is currently being treated at Yorkhill Hospital.
His family praised the efforts of his young friends from Murray Primary School in East Kilbride who met at the Oceanic Hair and Beauty salon in the town yesterday.
They are hoping to raise awareness about the condition and raise money for the Schiehallion ward at Yorkhill where Lee is being treated.
Dad Stephen, from East Kilbride, said: "I think for boys of that age to make the decision when their looks are important to them, it was a massive show of support for Lee.
"Lee was absolutely shocked but he was delighted with the support his friends are showing him."
