PEOPLE with sight and hearing loss are being asked to help shape new support services.
The new Ayrshire and Arran Sensory Locality Plan aims to streamline services to meet a huge projected increase in the number of people living with a sensory impairment over the next two decades.
While sight or hearing loss can be present from birth, for most people it occurs later in life, and can range from a relatively low-level disability to total blindness or deafness.
Three consultation meetings will be held next month to discuss how the new services can best meet needs.
