HUNDREDS of soldiers from The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards will take part in a Homecoming Parade in Glasgow next month.

The troops will march through the city's streets on April 3 to mark their recent return from operational duties in Afghanistan.

The event is in keeping with a tradition dating back hundreds of years.

The parade will start at 11am and leave from Holland Street, finishing at George Square.

Following the parade, the unit will do a tour of duty in Germany before returning to RAF Leuchars in 2015.
