TWO of the city's biggest sporting clubs went toe-to-toe to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis charity MS Revive.
Rugby side Glasgow Warriors challenged basketball hot shots Glasgow Rocks to matches in both sports in front of over 400 school kids at the Emirates Arena.
The event, which was eventually won 51-42 by the Rocks, was organised by Warriors and ex-Scotland ace Dougie Hall, who told the Evening Times it is a charity very close to his heart.
He said: "It has been brilliant. We have had a great turnout and just a fantastic day all round. To get two of the biggest teams in Glasgow together is superb.
"All the boys really enjoyed it. I had a chat with them the day before to talk them through the charity and why we were doing this and they really bought into it.
"It helps to get that competitiveness going!
"In my family unfortunately I've had a couple of uncles and an aunt who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.
"I got chatting to Ian from Revive MS at a function and I told him I wanted to do something to help promote their cause and the service they give in the west of Scotland.
"It's taken a year to fit it in and everyone from the players to the arena staff have come through for us. It has been a fantastic event for a great cause."
