A FULL-SCALE film studio should be created in Glasgow to allow the city to attract more major movies and retain production talent in Scotland, according to a city MSP.
Patricia Ferguson, Labour MSP for Maryhill and Springburn asked Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop if the government would help create a studio with post production facilities that would allow firms to take advantage of tax credits available elsewhere in the UK.
Ms Hyslop said there were developments ongoing but she could not reveal details at present.
Caroline Parkinson, director of Creative Development at Creative Scotland, said: "We are delighted with the Cabinet Secretary's support in establishing the film studio delivery group."
