ARTIST Peter Howson has reached his goal of walking across Scotland in aid of autism.
The 56-year-old, who has Asperger's Syndrome, travelled between all the major centres from Aberdeen to Ayr - covering 300 miles.
The impressive achievement raised funds for charity Scottish Autism and aimed to promote greater awareness of the condition. His daughter Lucy has also been diagnosed with the condition.
Mr Howson said: "I am absolutely delighted to have completed this journey.
"I would like to thank all those who supported me both financially and emotionally."
Mr Howson, from Prestwick, arrived at the Maclaurin Art Gallery in Ayr, yesterday afternoon.
He has raised over £70,000 in donations and pledges. Donations can still be at www.autismonthemap.org
