TOP Scottish cyclists will compete at the latest elite track cycling event to hit Glasgow.

Big names, including Commonwealth Games medal hopefuls Kayleigh Brogan and Evan Oliphant, will take to the track for Revolution Series Round 2 at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome on Saturday, November 30.

And Olympic hero Sir Chris will be in the velodrome to launch the first track bike in his new range and watch the HOY Future Stars in action.

HOYbikes sponsors the 2013-14 Revolution Series Future Stars races, which gives the most talented 15 and 16-year-old riders in Britain the opportunity to race in front of sell-out crowd.

He tweeted: "Very excited to finally unveil my first @HOYbikes track bike as well as 650c youth track & road models @RevolutionUK round 2 in Glasgow."

James McCallum, who won the last series which finished at Glasgow in February, is also set to return to the track.

He said: "Winning the Revolution Series last season in front of a Scottish crowd was one of the highlights of my career.

"The fans really pushed us on and I am sure it will be the same at Round 2."

Joining him at the competition will be Scottish cyclists Callum Skinner, Ross Edgar, John Paul and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Charline Joiner.

They will battle it out over a range of endurance and sprint races taking place over two sessions.

The Telegraph All Stars are leading the Elite Championship after Round 1.

A strong line-up of international riders will also compete while Team Sky, Madison-Genesis, Rudy Project RT and current title holders Rapha Condor JLT will do battle in the Elite Championship.

Councillor Archie Graham, chairman of Glasgow Life and executive committee member for the Commonwealth Games, said: "The Revolution Series is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Glasgow and Scotland to watch world class cyclists compete in our fantastic £113 million Emirates Arena."

A free shuttle bus service to Glasgow city centre will operate from the Emirates Arena after the evening session.

Sessions are 1pm until 4pm and 7pm until 10pm.
