I WISH to complain about the Scotrail sprinter service from Fort William to Glasgow.

On Monday I travelled down to Glasgow on the early morning service. It was one of the coldest days of the year and the heaters on the train were either not on at all or not working properly.

Passengers were sitting shivering under their coats for the entire three and half hour journey. I had my six year-old niece with me and had to take my own coat off to put over her.

Sadly, this is not a one-off experience. I've been travelling on that line for more than 20 years and it is regular occurrence during the winter months as well as a host of other issues including broken toilets and broken down trains. The line has suffered from a severe lack of investment for decades while millions are invested in other routes including the Glasgow to Edinburgh line.

Is it acceptable that passengers travelling on a line that has been voted the world's best train journey have to endure such a poor level of service. I feel quite embarrassed when I see tourists travelling on this service, when you consider the standards they will be used to in other European countries.

Scotrail, sort it out!

SURELY someone from an Ebola camp should be kept in some sort of "monitoring quarantine" before being allowed to enter into the UK.

It would surely take time for a disease to start on someone which is why the apparent "7 tests failed"

What were the seven tests exactly?

IT is completely irresponsible to return from treating Ebola case to our country without entering quarantine. Plus folks remember the state will lie to the public to ensure there is no panic. Well, it's what they do.

NO matter how low the risk and robust the procedures, the authorities got it wrong.

An "insignificant" rise in temperature is can often be okay. To apply this criteria to a trained nurse returning from an Ebola area complaining of feeling feverish and putting her on public transport was criminal. These officials and politicians go into denial and try to defend the indefensible. Just admit that the procedures are not good enough and they got it wrong.

Hope Pauline pulls through safely.
