A female drug dealer has been jailed after police found a stash of crack cocaine hidden in her BRA.

Rachel Briggs, 39, was caught with almost 100 per cent pure cocaine stuffed in her underwear when officers stopped her as she travelled in a vehicle with a pal.

Police also found she had hidden heroin inside a Kinder Egg pod which was in her handbag along with a set of £200 weighing scales.

Glasgow Times:

Text messages revealed Briggs was about to carry out a street deal ten minutes after she was arrested in Swadlincote, Derbs.

The drug addict pleaded guilty to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply both heroin and cocaine and was jailed for 30 months at Derby Crown Court.

Sentencing on Monday (5/6), Recorder Steven Evans said: "You have a long term habit of a pernicious drug and once you get in the grip of it I know it is hard to get out of.

"It has blighted your life and by supplying others you are involved in blighting their lives.

"Because of your drug use you are vulnerable and were targeted to sell for others and you have had a miserable life.

"You were put into a difficult situation and I hope that you can get free of your addiction and lead a life that I think you would wish to have in the future."

Prosecutor, Victoria Rose said Briggs was a passenger in a car which was stopped by police on September 8 last year.

When officers searched the vehicle, 14 wraps of crack cocaine and four wraps of heroin were found inside her handbag- in a Kinder Egg pod.

A strip search of Briggs, who lives in Church Gresley, Derbs., later revealed that she was concealing crack cocaine in her bra.

Miss Rose added: "Tests revealed the purity of the crack cocaine to be between 95 per cent and 97 per cent and the purity of the heroin to be between 55 per cent and 63."

The court heard Briggs was involved in "cuckooing"- a process where larger-scale professional drug dealers take over an exposed person's property to run their drugs business.

William Bennett, defending, said: "She's a very vulnerable individual, she was weak, she was frightened and she has not helped herself.

"She is open that she made a stupid decision but she is not a stupid person.

"It is a term that is known in the drugs world as 'cuckooing'."
