A lorry has crashed into a house in Moray.

The Tesco vehicle is understood to have struck two cars before hitting the home in High Street, Rothes, shortly after 3am on Sunday.

Police Scotland said the driver was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin for treatment to injuries which are not thought be be life threatening.

The force said officers remain in attendance at the scene where there are road restrictions in place and the lorry is currently being removed.

A Tesco spokesman said: "We can confirm that one of our lorries was involved in an incident in Rothes and we are assisting Police Scotland with their inquiries."
