THEY may look like dolls - but they aren't child's play.
Susan McInnes' remarkable decorative skills have earned her a prize at the UK's biggest cake show.
The 53-year-old's edible dolls - which took around three days each to make - scooped gold and bronze at the Cake International event, held earlier this month at Birmingham's NEC.
Mum-of-two Susan has been baking since her teens and runs a decorative cake business - The Sweetest Thing - from her home in Elderslie, Renfrewshire.
She make about 25 different flavoured sponges and also runs classes in sugarcraft. She recently created an eight-tier wedding cake for her daughter's wedding.
She said: "I'm over the moon as it's the first major competition I've entered.
"I've been baking since I was a teenager but I wanted to challenge myself. I've always admired the artists who make polymer dolls so I wanted to have a go.
"My advice to novice bakers would be to just try it and have fun.
"Shows like the Great British Bake Off are quite serious but they are competing for a major prize.
"If it doesn't work out, you can always eat it!"
