A SUMMER exhibition by renowned artist Jolomo attracted more than 19,000 visitors from as far away as Cyprus, Canada and California, and generated hundreds of thousands of pounds for the West Dunbartonshire economy.
'A Passion for Colour: Jolomo - the Retrospective' was on display from June to September in the newly refurbished Clydebank Town Hall Museum and Gallery, and brought together important works from more than 40 years of painting.
Councillor Michelle Stewart, Convener of the Council's Educational Services, said: "This is great news for Clydebank Town Hall, for Clydebank and for West Dunbartonshire.
"We hoped this exhibition would be a crowd-puller, but none of us expected 19,000 visitors.
"Officers are still analysing the feedback forms, but of the thousands we have so far, 82% rated the exhibition as excellent and 18% rated it good."
