A KAYAKER is in hospital after he was injured at the Falls of Falloch near Loch Lomond.
The man who is in his 20s became trapped while on a "group excursion" this morning.
Specially trained fire fighters and ambulance staff were scrambled after the alarm was raised shortly before midday.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "A kayaker taking part in a group excursion was injured on the rocks and had to be rescued.
"We had our specialist operations team out and the fire service assisted. The man, who is in his 20s, is now at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley."
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We attended at 11:49am. It was a multi-agency approach and specialist water rescue trained fire fighters assisted in rescuing the gentleman from the area where he was trapped."
