THE star of new movie Turbo is to make an appearance in Glasgow.

Speedy racing snail Turbo will be in the city centre to celebrate the launch of his new movie.

Fans of all ages can meet and greet Turbo at the St Enoch Centre on Saturday, August 24.

Anne Ledgerwood, marketing director at St Enoch Centre, said: "We are delighted to be working with Twentieth Century Fox in the lead up to the release of Turbo.

"At St Enoch Centre we aim to provide a number of exciting events for families, and we are sure that children will enjoy coming along to meet Turbo."

The character will meet young fans on the day from 9am to 5pm.

The film, produced by DreamWorks Animation, is released in cinemas across the UK in October.

Turbo, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Snoop Dogg, and Samuel L. Jackson features a snail whose dream to become the fastest snail in the world comes true.
