Kieron will get arena bouncing

GLASGOW Rocks basketball team have boosted their manpower with a 6ft 10in signing.

Team GB Olympian Kieron Achara completed his signing ahead of the Rock's first home match at the new Emirates Arena.

And to get a feel for his new home Kieron joined his new team-mates for a game of street basketball outside the stadium opposite Celtic Park in the city's East End.

Stirling-born Achara is expected to make his home Rocks debut against Newcastle Eagles at the Arena on Sunday.

And that match, from 5pm, will be the first chance to see the Glasgow Rocks in action at the Emirates Arena.
