BEING part of the UK keeps costs down, says Scottish Labour leader Johann Lamont.

She followed up on remarks from Asda, B&Q and John Lewis saying that prices could rise in a separate Scotland.

She said: "The costs to families of a Yes vote this Thursday will be huge. In the last three days the supermarkets, banks and other businesses are now making public the concerns they have expressed behind closed doors for years.

"We now know the cost of the weekly shop and energy bills will go up."
