Laura, 16, from Riddrie, scored straight 1s in her eight Standard Grades. She took top marks for Maths, English, Modern Studies, Accounts, PE, Physics, Administration and Spanish.
The grades mean she is now on her way to becoming a lawyer, which has been her dream since she was eight.
She said: "I was expecting six 1s but 2s for PE and Modern Studies, so to get straight 1s is just amazing.
"I wasn't nervous before getting my results – my mum was more nervous than me – but I burst into tears when I saw my marks. They are brilliant."
Mum Karen, 49, and dad Richard, 44, watched Laura open her envelope and Karen also burst into tears.
Karen said: "I'm so proud of her and just delighted because she has studied very hard and put a lot of effort into these exams.
"She is very focused and has wanted to study law since she was little. I knew she would do well but I must admit these results are really something else."
Richard added: "Laura's hard work has been well rewarded. We will be going out for lunch to celebrate."
Laura plans to take five Highers in fifth year at the Carntyne school.
She added: "I decided not to sign up to the text service because I didn't trust it, but my friends have been putting their marks on Facebook since early this morning while I had to wait for the post to come.
"My friends don't have any celebrations planned for today but there is a big party on Friday night and I'm looking forward to that."
