Emergency works to repair a burst water main in the East End's Duke Street will affect traffic on its way around Parkhead.
Scottish Water engineers began essential repairs last night on the main, at the junction of Duke Street and East Wellington Street.
The works, near the Forge Shopping Centre, involves a contraflow and temporary traffic lights, which will cause delays.
Duke Street will be reduced from four lanes to just one, while the emergency repairs are carried out.
Supporters have been told to give themselves extra time when travelling to the match.
A spokesman for the firm, said: "We will work to repair the main and reinstate the affected section of road as quickly as possible.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and advise road users – including people attending tonight's Champions League football match – to expect delays in the area."
Motorists are being urged to find alternative routes.
Road bosses say it is not known how long the lanes closures and contraflow system will be in place.
