The 42-year-old had denied driving at 83mph in a 70mph zone on the A9 in Perthshire on October 6 last year.
However, he was found guilty and given four penalty points, bringing the total number of points on his licence to 13. He was banned under the totting-up procedure.
Lennon, from Glasgow's West End, was caught in his 4x4 Audi Q7 by a speed camera at the Blackford junction.
The trial had been scheduled for June but was postponed so Lennon could attend the club's pre-season tour of Germany.
The ban comes a month after Lennon was cleared of using his mobile phone while driving in Glasgow's Merchant City last summer.
