THE Liberal Democrats have warned that Scottish schools could face a £780 million cut if the country leaves the UK.
Modelling by the Scottish Liberal Democrats, using the independent Institute of Fiscal Studies calculation of the scale of cuts required by an independent Scotland, showed schools across the country could face crippling staff and building cuts.
Leader, Willie Rennie, said: "These figures show how local communities would feel the impact of Alex Salmond's independence."
