Two paedophiles found guilty of murdering a woman who threatened to report them for abusing a boy have failed in the latest stage of their bid to have their convictions overturned.
Charles O'Neill, 50, and William Lauchlan, 36, were jailed for life at the High Court in Glasgow three years ago for strangling mother-of-three Allison McGarrigle, 39, in Largs, Ayrshire and dumping her body at sea in 1997.
The UK Supreme Court in London has rejected and their appeal which now goes back to the High Court in Scotland.
