More than 500 gymnasts from 80 nations will compete in the event.

Louis, who two years ago won Strictly Come Dancing, visited Merchant Square to find out more.

He said: "Glasgow put on such a good show for the Comonwealth Games this summer and I am sure they will do the same for the championships next year.

"They attract the top gymnasts from across the world."

Tickets for the competition can be booked online at www.2015world gymnastics.com, by phoning 0844 481 1221 or in person from the box office at the SECC.
