ONE person was airlifted to hospital after a minibus with 10 people on board careered off the M8 motorway and crashed into trees.
The accident happened shortly before 7am today between junction 4 and 5 of the M8 eastbound near Shotts.
A full emergency response saw a fleet of ambulances and police cars sent to the scene.
The road was closed eastbound and then later in both directions to allow an air ambulance to land.
