AN "exceptional" building built to offer care and support to people with cancer and their families has won a top architectural award.
The Maggie's Gartnavel centre in Glasgow has been named the Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland 2012 by the Royal Incorporation of Architects Scotland. The building, designed by Dutch architects OMA, was described a "place of calm" that was "welcoming and open" by the judging panel.
