A man has died and another has been injured following a disturbance at a house.
The 39-year-old was found dead at the scene at a property in Cairngorm Gardens, Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. His death is being treated as suspicious by police.
A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries after the incident in the early hours of this morning. Officers were called to the house at around 12.45am.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries.
"A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death. However, the death is currently being treated as suspicious."
Police are believed to be following a positive line of inquiry.
