A MAN has died after collapsing during a class at a Glasgow gym.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken ill during a circuits class on Friday evening at Bellahouston sports centre, run by Glasgow Life.
Trained first aiders and a doctor who was on site at the time, rushed to the scene and an ambulance was called.
However it is understood the man, who was a regular at the class, died a short while later.
A spokesman for Glasgow Life, said: "We can confirm that a member of the public took ill at a fitness class at Glasgow Club Bellahouston on Friday evening.
"Our trained first aiders immediately attended and were joined by a doctor, who was in the vicinity, before paramedics arrived.
"We have since been informed that the man has died and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time."
