Sonoo Yaqoob faced the allegations when he appeared at the High Court in Glasgow.

Yaqoob is said to have raped one female at a secondary school in the city's South Side and at a cinema in 2011.

The 20-year-old is further accused of three separate assaults against the same woman.

Yaqoob also faces five rape allegations against another female - including one at a hospital.

They are said to have taken place between 2012 and 2013.

He faces four other charges of assaulting the same woman and a final allegation of leaving his alleged victim in "fear and alarm" by contacting her.

His agent entered not guilty pleas.

Yaqoob will go on trial on August 25.
