Man for court over death of Paisley shopkeeper

A MAN is due to appear in court today in connection with the death of a shopkeeper.

Javaid Ali, died following an incident at his Sunshine Grocers store in Paisley's Green Road.

The 48-year-old was attacked on June 15. He died in hospital two weeks later.

Police said a 31-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the death. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

He is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court later today.
