A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was found dead in her flat.
The body of Angela Humphrey, 48, was discovered by relatives in her flat in Quarrywood Avenue, in the Barmulloch area of Glasgow, last Wednesday.
Alan Humphrey, 55, was charged with assault and murder when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
Police said Ms Humphrey lived alone and had not been seen since the previous Friday in Balbeggie Street in the city.
Relatives who had become concerned at a lack of contact with Ms Humphrey went to her flat and discovered her body.
