Man in court over murder allegation

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who was found dead outside his house.

Jamie Douglas Cameron, 20, from Largs, North Ayrshire, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

William McLachlan, 57, was found dead outside his house in Holehouse Road, Largs, just before 7am on Saturday.

Another man, Jordan Skeoch, 19, from Largs, also appeared in court charged with assault to injury.

He made no plea or declaration. Both men have been committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

A third man who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released from custody pending further investigation.
