A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman allegedly knocked down by a car.
Audrey Gray, 50, died at the scene when she was allegedly struck by a car in McGregor Street in Drumoyne, near Govan in Glasgow, on Saturday.
Ms Gray's family released a statement through police, which read: "We are absolutely devastated at her death and she will be sadly missed by everyone."
John Henderson, 54, who gave his address as Bishopton in Renfrewshire, entered no plea or declaration to the murder charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He was remanded in custody and is due in court again next Wednesday.
