A MAN was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car in Glasgow's south side.
He was struck in Victoria Road in Govanhill at around 11.10pm on Tuesday.
He was taken to the Victoria Infirmary and part of the road was closed for around six hours while an investigation was carried out.
A police cordon was also put in place on the busy main road.
The man's condition is not yet known but police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
