A SCOTTISH man has tested negative for the Ebola virus after returning from west Africa.
The Evening Times understands the man was admitted to a Glasgow hospital at around 2.20am on Tuesday.
He was taken to the Brownlee Centre for infectious diseases at the city's Gartnavel Hospital after showing possible symptoms of the virus.
A NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde spokesman confirmed the man has been tested.
It is understood the man will remain in hospital while further tests are carried out.
