NURSES with the charity Marie Curie thanked Glasgow people for supporting their Great Daffodil Appeal.

During the March appeal, volunteer donation collectors have been out across the city to encourage people to wear the charity's daffodil pin and make a donation to support people with a terminal illness.

Money raised from the appeal helps the nurses provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes and the city's Marie Curie Hospice.

Susan Cuthbert, community fundraiser, said: "Thank you to everyone in Glasgow who has supported Marie Curie Cancer Care and this year's Great Daffodil Appeal which is vital in helping us nurse people with terminal illnesses in their final hours.

"Everyone's support will make a real difference."
