A MASKED crook who pointed a knife at shop workers during a failed robbery is facing a lengthy prison sentence.
Staff refused to hand over money when Paul Spowart, 37, tried to rob the Premier Store convenience shop in Girvan, Ayrshire.
At the High Court in Edinburgh, Spowart admitted assault and robbery.
He will be sentenced on September 30.
