The Evening Times columnist was joined in Buchanan Street by singing group Musichoir to promote Scotland Sings, part of Scotland's Winter Festivals programme.

Scotland Sings is designed to encourage people to sing in public between November 30 and December 2 in celebration of St Andrew's Day, November 30.

The three-day event will see a series of singing events across Scotland where people of all ages and vocal talent will be encouraged to get involved and get Scotland singing.

Pop Idol winner Michelle said: "Scotland Sings is a fantastic initiative and I'm delighted to be part of it.

"You don't have to have an amazing voice to enjoy the experience of being part of a choir or singing group."
