A PENSIONER who went missing from his home in Renfrewshire has been found dead.

Police Scotland appealed for information after 75-year-old James Cassidy went missing on Tuesday.

He was last seen boarding a Glasgow-bound bus in Johnstone, where he lived.

Officers confirmed last night his body was found in Kilmarnock yesterday afternoon and added that there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
