GLASGOW'S Gaelic School is in the running for three film awards.
In a first for a school outwith the Highlands and Islands, the short film A' Choinneamh (The Meeting) has been shortlisted for the Gaelic language prize at the FilmG awards.
The prize is awarded to the film where the Gaelic dialogue is spoken "in the most clear and fluid manner". The award is particularly significant as a high percentage of pupils at the school are not native speakers.
Pupils also produced another shortlisted film, Caraidean Ceòlach (Musical Mates), about a girl who struggles to interact with her peers until her love of music helps her find friendship. It is up for the theme award.
And A' Tarraing à Bond (Poking Fun at Bond) is up for best film.
Young film-makers will be judged by a panel of industry professionals and BBC Alba.
Head teacher Donalda McComb said: "We are delighted our school has made such an impact on the shortlists this year and it is particularly satisfying for me that A' Choinneamh has been shortlisted for its Gaelic.
"We have a growing Gaelic community in Glasgow and it is nice to see the children in it able to hold their own against schools in more traditional Gaelic areas.
"I'm proud of all the films this year and the hard work the pupils and staff put into them."
