FILM and TV productions last year boosted Glasgow's economy by almost £20million.
According to Glasgow Film Office, the figure the previous year was slightly higher due to Brad Pitt, Halle Berry and Scarlett Johansson filming major productions in the city.
Glasgow Film Office helps attract film and TV work and co-ordinates activity to ensure there is as little impact as possible on the life of local people.
The most prominent feature film shot in Glasgow last year was What We Did On Our Holiday starring David Tennant, Billy Connolly and Rosamund Pike.
Two TV series - Waterloo Road and children's programme M.I.High - also added significantly to the economy.
Liz Cameron, the city council's executive spokesman for jobs and the economy, said: "The economic importance of the sector has been clear for some time with almost £250m having come to the city over the past 15 years.
"These figures once again illustrate the value of the work of our Glasgow Film Office."
The organisation received 343 location enquiries last year which resulted in 231 productions being shot in the city.
Of those, 38% were TV shows, 7% features, 12% commercials, 5% short films and 38% projects ranging from corporate videos to photographic shoots.
