A Cancer Charity in Glasgow has been congratulated by a cross party group of MSPs for winning a UK restoration award.
Cancer Support Scotland won the 2013 National Lottery award for best heritage project, together with Glasgow Buildings Preservation Trust for work on the Calman Cancer support centre in the city.
Bill Kidd SNP MSP for Anniesland lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament, signed by more than 20 MSPs from the SNP, Labour and Conservatives.
He praised the charity for taking the prize ahead of 900 UK wide entries and for enabling it to treble the number of patients it treats to more than 200.
