Newsquest’s Young Reporter Scheme saw hundreds of students send through their articles, eager to be included as one of this year’s winners.
It is a huge accolade to win as the scheme can be a tough programme to manage alongside schoolwork and other activities.
All those who complete the programme earn a certificate, an impressive achievement for them to add to their CV and UCAS applications.
This scheme has had enormous successes over the years with students moving not only into prestigious media jobs but also into an array of different career opportunities.
Henry Faure Walker, Chief Executive of Newsquest Media Group, said: “As the leading local news publisher in the UK, Newsquest is delighted to support the Young Reporter Scheme.
“It provides a great taster of the world of journalism, and many of the participants have gone onto to get full time jobs with us once they leave School or University.”
Today, we open the portal for the coming academic year and schools and students interested in joining this unique and exciting scheme, need to register their interest on the Young Reporter website to take advantage of our early bird pricing.
