A FORMER garage on the outskirts of Glasgow is to be demolished.
The old Kessington Service Station in Bearsden is to be replaced by a convenience store after planning approval was given by East Dunbartonshire Council.
Work on the site, in Milngavie Road, is expected to begin shortly and will provide a 400sq ft store with associated parking.
Councillor Bill Hendry, who chairs the council's planning board, said: "This site has been an eyesore for many years now and we're glad there's now interest in it to bring a new convenience store to the area."
