It comes just 24 hours after 71-year-old woman was found dead following an early morning blaze in Cambuslang.
Emergency services raced to the scene at Everard Drive, in Springburn, at around 2.50am today.
The victim was found dead after smoke and flames engulfed the property.
The alarm was raised by a member of the public, who saw smoke billowing from the roof of the house.
There was visible smoke damage around the windows in the upper and first floor, where the fire is understood to have started.
Around six firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, arrived at the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
A full search of the property took place and, after battling the fire, crews discovered the body of the elderly woman.
It is not yet clear what caused the blaze.
A joint investigation between Strathclyde Police and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue is now underway.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police, said: "Officers were called to a report of a fire shortly after 2.50am today.
"The body of an elderly female was found within the property.
"Officers are working to identify the woman."
Investigations are continuing at the property, with police officers standing guard outside the house.
A large cordon, which stretched to Springburn Road, was also in place.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, said: "The fire is believed to have started on the first-floor of the property."
Meanwhile, investigations are continuing after a 71-year-old woman died when fire broke out at a tower block in South Lanarkshire.
As reported in later editions of last night's Evening Times, the alarm was raised around 1.35am yesterday after fire broke out in an 11th floor flat at Sherry Heights in Cambuslang.
The blaze is not thought to be suspicious.
