NOTORIOUS shoplifter Annette Daniel faces another jail sentence after she admitted stealing clothes from Mothercare.

The sister of crime lord Jamie Daniel, pled guilty to stealing £180 of clothes from the shop on Glasgow's Crow Road, on August 31, 2013.

Co-accused Tracey Bennett, 45, also admitted stealing the clothing as well as £297 worth of "beds in bags" from the Mothercare World shop.

The pair also admitted breaching previous bail conditions not to approach one another, by being together at the time of the crimes.

A third woman Janine O'Neill, 29, pled guilty to stealing designer bags from Mulberry in Glasgow city centre and clothes from Miss Selfridge in Buchanan Galleries on two dates in December 2013.

All three serial thieves admitted their offences at Glasgow Sheriff Court before sheriff Sam Cathcart.

Defence counsel Tony Lenehan for serial shoplifter Daniel 53, said: "The bags of ladies clothing appears to have been returned to the store in the hope of obtaining gift cards because it was returned without receipts.

"It became obvious the items had been taken and not paid for so gift cards issued were cancelled."

The trio will be sentenced later this month.

Daniel was sentenced to 15 months in prison at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last year which was later reduced to 12 months.

She was found guilty of stealing goods worth over £2000 from shops in Edinburgh and Glasgow's Braehead shopping centre.

She then had another 10 months added to her sentence last year after she admitted stealing almost £1000 from designer shop Hollister in Glasgow.
