GLASGOW Airport boss Amanda McMillan has flown back to the city after being awarded an OBE.
The mother-of-two, who lives in the West End, was presented with the honour for services to Scottish business and tourism at a ceremony conducted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The managing director of Glasgow Airport was nominated for the ward in the Birthday Honours List.
Speaking after the palace investiture, Ms McMillan said: "When I heard I had been awarded an OBE it came as a huge surprise but it has finally sunk in. Being part of such a fantastic ceremony was a great honour and receiving an OBE is a memory that will stay with me forever.
"I truly believe the award recognises the people of Glasgow Airport who work tirelessly."
