CYCLIST Ed Clancy will continue his transformation from endurance rider to sprinter as one of seven Olympic champions named in the Great Britain team for next month's Track World Cup in Glasgow.

Clancy, twice an Olympic champion in the four-kilometre team pursuit, will join Jason Kenny and Philip Hindes in the three-man, three-lap team sprint event at the Glasgow's Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. Kenny, Hindes and Hoy won Olympic gold in the event in London in August.

Also competing in the event, which takes place from November 16 to 18, will be world and Olympic team pursuit champions Laura Trott, Dani King, Joanna Rowsell and Steven Burke.

British Cycling performance director Dave Brailsford said: "The period immediately after an Olympics is an interesting one for the team as it allows us to try out new line-ups and look at how the younger squad members are developing.

Now that the London Olympics are behind us I'm hoping we can carry some of that momentum on into the World Cup and I know the whole team is looking forward to racing again in front of a home-crowd on our first step towards Rio."
