one million people have signed the Yes Declaration for an independent country, say campaigners.
The declaration was launched in May 2012 , with the campaign group saying its target was one million signatures by the referendum.
Chief executive Blair Jenkins said that with just under four weeks to go until vote the number of signatures was 1,001,186.
He said: "Today's announcement is a clear indication of the level of support we are getting, and it gives us great confidence as we work towards securing a Yes majority on September 18.
"We are hugely grateful, not just to the people who have signed the declaration, but to our thousands of volunteers who have worked so hard to help us reach this target."
