A GROUP of young people from an Easterhouse school won a £50 cash boost for their business after entering a Scotland-wide online pitching competition.
Oscar Diffusers from Lochend Community High School were picked as one of the winners by Young Enterprise Scotland.
They produce a range of reed diffusers using names of Hollywood Oscar legends.
There are different scents for Audrey Hepburn, Charlie Chaplin, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor. The scents reflect the well-known character traits of each actor.
The young company asked for the £50 investment to "buy stock, make our products and turn this into an Oscar winning business".
The judges were impressed with the concept and the consistency of branding shown in the video.
The team are pleased to have won and are looking forward to the local finals coming up next month where they will be delivering their business presentation and competing for the title of Glasgow Company of the Year 2015.
"We are delighted to win the online pitching competition; we had great fun making our video and learned lots of new skills. We were able to work as a team and allow our customers an insight into the ideas behind our branding and product."
