THE Evening Times has teamed up with Glasgow 2014 to bring readers the latest on Commonwealth Games tickets.

We will be printing the inside track on where, when and how to get the best seats.

The Evening Times has been named as an Official Media Partner for the Commonwealth Games Ticketing Campaign as the city celebrates the One Year To Go milestone to the Games' Opening Ceremony.

Glasgow 2014 will be the biggest sporting event coming to the UK next year, when 4500 athletes from 71 nations and territories descend on the city to compete in 17 sports during 11 days.

Today, organisers launched the Glasgow 2014 Ticketing Guide, packed with dates, prices and seating options.

And, with the ticket application process opening on Monday, August 19, the time has come to swot up on what you want to see.

Whether you want to catch the Men's 100m final, or you fancy taking in some table tennis, there will be something for every sports fan.

Organisers have promised the ticketing process will be fair and affordable with prices starting at £15 – or £7.50 for under 16s and over 60s.

Two-thirds of the 1million tickets going on sale are priced at £25 or less. From August 19, fans will have four weeks to apply for seats.

As a media partner the Evening Times will be following the high-profile sales campaign, bringing readers the most up-to-date information.

Evening Times editor Tony Carlin said: "This is a very exciting time for the Games and for Glasgow.

"With one year to go, the countdown is truly on and at the Evening Times we have promised to bring our readers the best of the sporting extravaganza.

"We will print the very latest on the when, where and the how to get tickets for those unmissable events to give fans the know-how to secure their seat at the biggest sporting event ever to hit Glasgow.

"We are excited to be media partners and look forward to making every event a sell-out and to play a key role in ensuring 2014 sees Glasgow host the biggest and most successful Commonwealth Games ever."

David Grevemberg, chief executive of Glasgow 2014 said: "Glasgow 2014 is delighted to be working with the Evening Times as our Official Media Partner for the Commonwealth Games Ticketing Campaign.

"We look forward to working positively together to share with readers the excitement and sporting excellence that is coming Glasgow and Scotland's way next year."
