Pair reported to fiscal after Celtic club blaze

A MAN and a woman have been reported to the procurator fiscal after a fire at the Celtic Supporters' Club in Greenock.

The pair, aged 19 and 21, are understood to have allegedly left a barbecue unattended, which spread to the roof of the club in Laird Street.

Fire crews were called to the scene on Thursday evening and there was slight damage to the building.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man have been reported in connection with culpable and reckless conduct.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
